Human touch can have a profound effect on physical and emotional wellbeing. Massage therapy is the therapeutic use of touch, by hands, elbows or feet. Through the use of a variety of techniques a bond forms between the client and the therapist. Massage can be comforting and soothing, letting go of toxins from tissue and dispersing lactic acid. Endorphins, the body's natural feel good factor are released from muscles during massage.
Massage Therapy can take different forms:
Massage is best avoided in inflammatory skin conditions, such as eczema and psoriasis.
