I would like to be listed but my speciality is not catered for.
The vast majority of people use search engines to find what they are looking for on the web. Therapy-World is listed on all the major UK search engines. For example, a current search for "alternative medicine UK" on Google would show Therapy-World.co.uk in fourth place. On Alta-Vista we presently appear in the top ten. We also rank highly on Lycos and UK plus.
Therapy-World is by design a simple site which will load effectively on a wide variety of browsers. Graphics are kept to a minimum in order to speed up connectivity. Practitioner listings are brief with readily available e-mail and website links. If you have a website, a client will arrive at your site without having to wait for a slow download and protracted search. Therapy-World will e-mail you once a year to ask you if you still wish to be listed. You may also receive e-mail from time to time to notify you of special offers or new developments. This will not occur more than 4 times a year.
Whenever your e-mail address is displayed on the web you run the risk that you will receive unsolicited mail. Some organisations run programmes to do this automatically. However, we have never had a single request from anyone asking to be removed from the site bacause of this problem.
You can display your associations/memberships on the site if we can verify them. You can do this by lodging a copy of membership certificates with Therapy-World. If you would like to know more about how to enhance your listing and the relevant costs click here.
Your college address will not be available to the public if you choose this option. Therapy-World has a policy of not accepting listings without a postal address, although we do not make this available to anyone else without their permsiion. We think this is a basic safeguard but accept it does not prevent someone giving a false address.
